Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel UPDATE 1: Well, here you go. Some pics on how i´m doing with the tunnel.
Re: F7 snopro Mountain 385... home made tunnel Cool! Finally somebody did that from clear plastic! Cats here, cats there, looking good!
Yeah, looks cool. Way to go! I might have riveted it on the other side of the tunnel, but hey, that's just me. Hopefully that tunnel structure is stiff enough, 'cuz if it bends in lower temperatures, it could crack the clear plastic to a dangerously sharp pieces.
Jakefin: thank you Zr 440: thanx! Frosty: No, you wouldnt.Specaly not it this was your´s. And i just have to say that offcourse i would have riveted on the other side of the tunnel, if it was possebly. But its not. The track is about 4 mm from the tubeframe, and the plastic is about 4mm thick. Witch would make the track make the plastic full of black rubber from the track. And that would have looked g*y after 20 kilometers, and then the hole idea with see throu plastic would be gone
Is that polycarbonate or something else? Polycarbonate, if I remember right, is that what sleds windshields are made from. It's almost bulletproof even 1-2mm thick. Plexiglass is not good for that use, too hard and cracks easily. But if the look is all, anything clear will handle..
